I believe that life’s too short to do the same thing over and over, and I’ve spent most of my career as an investor. So this isn’t just my bio, it’s my diversified “portfolio.”
My portfolio is most concentrated in consumer private equity, where I’ve invested over $1 billion and worked with some awesome teams. The private equity portion of my portfolio also has some exposure to defense and healthcare, and I’m actively adding more healthcare in my full-time role.
My portfolio also includes exposure to search funds, where I’ve helped some inspiring entrepreneurs become CEOs and invested in niche software businesses.
I started my career as a strategy consultant at BCG, where I learned to love the color green and make decent slides while working with Fortune 500 retail and healthcare businesses.
I graduated from Vassar College, where I met my wife, and Harvard Business School, where I met hundreds of people who are way smarter than me.
I’m a Vermont native, and therefore I have strong opinions on dairy products and beer. If I’m not at my desk, you can find me hiking, watching NASCAR or the Green Bay Packers, running, and listening to emo.
